You will need a high resolution (1080p) version of your film, permission from the crew, a transcription for any dialogue (necessary for creating subtitles). We will also need a 16:9 thumbnail image and a description of the film.

Yes, AnimToon is for completed student-made films. While works-in-progress can be fun to watch, we will not feature unfinished films through AnimToon.

It depends on the views your video brings in! We will do everything to promote your video to our Pencilish audience, and you will reap the benefits. You will receive 70% of the monetization from your video. Pencilish receives 20%, and our multi-channel network will receive the remaining 10%.

Yes, you need to have all the rights and permissions necessary to use all the music and sound effects in your film.

Under the conditions that we have written permission from the rightful copyright owner, yes. Otherwise, we will be unable to monetize the video due to YouTube’s copyright & fair use policies.

Yes, please make sure that everyone is on board with the film being uploaded to AnimToon. It is your responsibility to touch base with your team before signing an agreement.

No, you don’t have to delete your video from your channel, but you must turn off monetization. You can keep all the engagement by keeping your original video up, but unfortunately can’t monetize there as well.

NO! Do not submit pitches to AnimToon. Any pitch material submitted will not be reviewed. Any and all pitch material will be discarded. AnimToon is for FINISHED student films, not pitches.

We are proud to now accept entries on FilmFreeway! We also still check submissions that come in from our website as well. Either is fine with us, we will see your film either way!
